...oh not by me! That's not in my job description.
Not to jump the gun. believing in the "U" not a "w", it looks as though the recession is easing and things are headed in a positive direction. There are certain things to be looking at in terms of your business. Of the four phases that make up the business cycle it's safe to say we're in Late "D" approaching "A", the recovery. You'll continue to be conservative in most matters. However optimism, cautious or otherwise, begins to spread throughout the organization. You'll continue to be efficient with expenditures while at the same time developing long term plans. Perhaps looking to increase market share through acquisitions using the recent pessimistic conditions to your advantage. You've "survived" and now it's time to position the organization to move through the recovery phase and into prosperity.
As a small business owner I've felt your pain. However, early in my corporate life I was fortunate enough to have seen the value of LEAN. These hard times have awakened me and as a result my organization is in a better place. Cautiously optimistic and excited about the future.
You should be as well.
stay on the offensive and celebrate the small victories..........
