more niche!
As a small business owner/ entrepenuer you should be very familiar with this idea. Find a comfort zone, a.k.a. NICHE, and exploit it. Dare I say, service, move on and repeat. Nothng new here.
Enter social media. Now, one is suppose to build / lead a community, a tribe or is it a NICHE?
Nothing new here either. In fact the following is quite revealing. "As usual, maketers are turning hype into hyperventilation. This time, it's about the supposed end of marketing as we know it, thanks to the rise of social media and the shift of power to consumers." Continuing, "Social media makes it more urgent than ever that companies get the basics right, developing and reliably delivering on a compelling brand promise." This quote is part of the opening paragraph to a story in the December 2010 (highly recommended reading) issue of the Harvard Buisness Review. (The One Thing You Must Get Right When Building a Brand by Patrick Barwise and Sean Meehan, pg 80).
Still, nothing new, no?
